Connor: Soccer Tournament Recap

For my kids corner post I’m going to inform you of the soccer tournament I just played in. I play for Synergy Sports, and last weekend we played in Springfield, Missouri. In our first game we played the #1 team in Arkansas and lost 3-1 :(. That team was in light blue and had a big Clorox logo on the front of their jerseys, so we called them clorox. My coach got pretty mad at the ref in that game because we got a free kick and scored, but then the ref called it offsides. After we scored! And it wasn’t even offsides! In the second game we played a neon green team and lost 2-1 :(. But later that team beat clorox in triple overtime, then beat the Magic in the championship. In our third game we finally won 4-0. It should have been 5-0 because I scored. However after the play was over the stinking ref called it a hand ball on ME even though the ball didn’t touch any part my hand or arm. Throughout the tournament I mainly played forward. We were placed in the gold division and held up fairly well against the first two teams. Thanks for reading my kids corner,

    Good job in Springfeild! I wasn't there but I know how you feel! I don't like it when the ref calls something on our team that wasn't present! Sometimes they do it so that there team can win ( if they are from that city and think greatly about there team.) it happens to me usually in Saint Louis.

But did you know that oreos have Wheat and Soy in them! They are also 140 calories per 2 cookies! They also have Salt,Chocolate,Sugar,Palm/Canola Oil,Leavening, Riboflavin and Unbleached Flour. What even is Riboflavin!!! Hey it's airheads! But Airheads have lots of sugar and obviously aren't good for you! Air heads are amazing and chewy! Did you know that they are made in a place that processes flour! Here are some weird words that are in the ingredients: maltodextrin, hydrogenated, artificial,and manufactured. Weekly Update Written By: Kayliana Harris Here is a quick recap of things we have been doing throughout this week. Writing: In writing we have been working on a piece about colonial times. Each student was assigned to a specific job in colonial times. Then, we researched our job and found out as much information as possible on colonial times. We wrote and typed our body paragraphs. Recently, we have been brainstorming ideas for our introduction paragraph. We have not yet wrote it but we are very close. That is what we have been doing in writing. Math : In math we have been working hard on fractions. We have learned how to make an equivalent fraction, simplify a fraction, and how to change an improper fraction into a mixed number (and the other way around).
