Hannah B: Furry Friends Forever!

Image
Furry Friends Forever! by Hannah Beran Why hello there! If you love an adventure, come along with me! I have lots of friends and you will too, once you come visit the Humane Society! I go there once a week and you won't belive how many sweet, loving animals they have there. When people do come to adopt, they mainly look at the kittens and the puppies. Yes, I know that they are cute and stuff, but nobody really looks at the older dogs or cats. But when you go there, you will see that the older dogs and cats are just as cute and loving, as the kittens and puppies are.  Let me tell you how many animals got adopted in 2015: 1,088 kitty cats, 1,107 dogs, and 97 small animals such as bunnies, guinea pigs, birds, snakes, etc.  And 244 animals got back to their families and back to their homes. Sam: Volunteering at the Food Bank

Volunteering at the Food Bank By: Sam Schwarz Introduction Have you ever had a weekend where you were just sitting around, with absolutely nothing to do? Do you get joy by helping people? Well with the food bank, you can solve you boring day and help others while doing it! You will help prepare food for people who need it and have fun. My Experience I have been to the food bank a few times in my life. Once when I was there, I helped pack macaroni into bags for people. It was a very fun experience. They have you go to a table with 4 to a table and work in an assembly line. With me, they had one person hold a bag while another filled it with macaroni, then pass it on so another person can staple the bag shut and  tie a recipe on. There are all kinds of other things  they have you do though. My dad said that once, he had to rebag hot dogs.
