  • 3 cups self-rising flour>1 ½ cups

  • 4 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1 ¼  cup softened butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
Filling:
  • One jar of strawberry jam
Fondant icing:  ( we had to use food coloring )
Orange (small packet)
Yellow (small packet)
Black (small packet)
Green (small packet)
White (large packet)
Equipment:
  • “8 x 8” inch cake pan
  • Cutting board
  • Rolling pin
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowls
  • Spatula
  • Wisk
  • Cooling rack

My mom said that we should only do 1 layer  and we didn't have an “8x8” inch cake pan(we used a “9x9” inch cake pan), parchment paper and we couldn't find the other colors of fondant so we had to use food coloring,so #1 we preheated the oven to 375f .#2In a large bowl we mixed (or beat) ¾ cups granulated sugar,½ teaspoon vanilla,¾ cup softened butter then gradually added the 3 eggs.last we added 1 ½ cups self rising flour and 1 teaspoon baking powder and beat until the mixture was smooth and poured it into the cake pan  (I had to go to bed before step 3).#3 mom placed the pan into the oven for 25 minutes and pierced it with a knife(i don’t really know if she did or not) and we didn’t need to cut the edges.#4 mom mixed the 1 ¼ cups softened butter & 4 cups confectioners sugar together then she added the 1 teaspoon vanilla and mixed until she had  a smooth mixture.#5 We rolled out the white fondant to cover the cake and then we rolled out the yellow fondant to make the cat’s face.   Then we rolled out the orange to make his ears and the sides of the cake and the white to make his whiskers.    Then we used the black icing to make his eyes and mouth and nose.    Our Stampy Cat cake is ready to eat.
