My Time in California


BOOM, CRACK! The sound of the storm chilled me to the bone. I wondered if our flight was delayed because of the storm. Luckily, I thought wrong. We walked into the airport, checked in, and went to gate C31 in the Kansas City airport. The sign read: departure 11:30 status on time. I was relieved as I boarded the plane to San Diego, CA
After 3 hours of sleeping and watching movies we finally arrive to California. Then we walked to the car rental area, we rented a shiny brand new black BMW convertible, throughout the trip I continued to jump over the doors and into the car feeling that I wanted to be like James Bond. Afterward we drove to the airport pickup area to pick up my best friend Vincent. He oohed and aahed when we picked him up in the BMW.
‘Dang i've never been in a BMW before’ he explains. In a bit we went to the beach and ate lunch. Then we went to the boat where we were staying. At the marina there was a hot tub and a pool. ‘I can't believe it is 75 degrees in december’ I said ‘I know’ Vincent replied. We walked to are boat at dock C21 set up our sleeping arrangements watched two movies, and went to bed.
The next morning I got up at 6:00 AM and went to the pier with my mom to rent a fishing pole we went back and Vincent and his mom Stacy were up. Then me and Vincent went fishing off the dock, at first we were just fishing for bait fish. we caught 1 small mackerel that we used as bait put it on a hook and about in 5 minutes we caught another mackerel that was about one pound.
The rest of my trip was awesome. We went to to carnival, went to the beach about 4 more times, caught a lot more fish, and ate awesome food. I will remember this trip for the rest of my life. It was one of the best trips i've ever been on.

The weather forecast for today is:      It will be a cloudy day with a chance of bacon a nd raining soda. The temperature going to be 34* out and watch out chocolate puddles, the ground is going to be frozen popsicles.  Make sure you wear a coat,  rain boots and an umbella. Be very careful because you don't want to step in th e chocolate.   You might get some luck,  it’s  supposed to become a little warm . Be careful you don't want to get hit by  bacon do you ? We will be having P.E and we are going to be playing 4 square volleyball, I wonder who is going to win ? In science, we learned about matters. It is really fun because we got to guess what we thought were in the cups.

Teaching you about candy!- Noël Did you know that Oreos are good but have lots of stuff that you don't know about! Oreos are a delicious cookie for dessert anytime. But did you know that oreos have Wheat and Soy in them! They are also 140 calories per 2 cookies! They also have Salt,Chocolate,Sugar,Palm/Canola Oil,Leavening, Riboflavin and Unbleached Flour. What even is Riboflavin!!! Hey it's airheads! But Airheads have lots of sugar and obviously aren't good for you! Air heads are amazing and chewy! Did you know that they are made in a place that processes flour! Here are some weird words that are in the ingredients: maltodextrin, hydrogenated, artificial,and manufactured. I think I would rather have Oreos than Air Heads. because I like Air Heads but they are too chewy! Did you know that many people don't even know about how much sugar really affects you! Weekly Update Written By: Kayliana Harris Here is a quick recap of things we have been doing throughout this week. Writing: In writing we have been working on a piece about colonial times. Each student was assigned to a specific job in colonial times. Then, we researched our job and found out as much information as possible on colonial times. We wrote and typed our body paragraphs. Recently, we have been brainstorming ideas for our introduction paragraph. We have not yet wrote it but we are very close. That is what we have been doing in writing. Math : In math we have been working hard on fractions. We have learned how to make an equivalent fraction, simplify a fraction, and how to change an improper fraction into a mixed number (and the other way around).
