Brilliant BizTown By: Ella Medley On Tuesday, January 23rd the fifth grade classes went to BizTown in St. Louis. BizTown is a simulation of a community. Each student is assigned a job in one of the BizTown businesses. My job was the principal CEO of JA University. We spent our time at work completing the tasks we were assigned. For our work we were paid BizTown dollars that we could deposit into our checking accounts. On our breaks we could spend our money at the BizTown businesses. The businesses and services at BizTown included: AT&T, Monsanto, Purina, Biz Mart, JA University, Children’s Hospital, City Hall, Professional Offices, Utilities, Warehouse, KJAR radio station, Tech Mahindra, Print Shop, Smokehouse Market, Mastercard, First Bank, and KPLR 11 television station.
